Chamber of Commerce
The Shelby Area Chamber of Commerce
works for the good of all businesses in Toole County. Its purpose is to help
promote businesses and activities in the county. Along with working with the
local businesses, the Chamber works with the schools during tournaments,
with the mayor on many projects and with the Shelby Chamber Merchant
Committee on their events. The Chamber also works with the Marias Fair Board
on the Marias Fair and organizes the Marias Fair Parade each summer. The
Shelby Area Chamber of Commerce is also involved with the
Russell Country,
Travel Montana, and Superhost Organizations in their efforts to promote
Montana tourism and economic opportunities.
Information on a wide variety of topics is sent to those who inquire about
Toole County and area events. Shelby is presently one of six designated
Visitor Information Centers (VICs) in Montana.

Why Should I Belong to
Chamber?
1. Chamber is an organized effort to promote,
increase and improve business in our community.
2. Chamber is an organized liaison between business, school, service
organizations, and all aspects of the community.
3. Chamber is organized for the purpose of advancing the economic,
professional, cultural, and civic welfare of the city and the area.
4. We try to encourage growth of existing business while giving proper
assistance to any new firm or individual seeking to locate in our area.
5. We support all activities believed to be beneficial to the community and
the area, and oppose those that might be detrimental.
6. We are the first contact made by anyone seeking information about our
community when considering relocation, or traveling into our area.
7. NONE of these can be accomplished without YOUR support!

WHAT CHAMBER DOES FOR YOU!
We keep an office open, making it
possible for people to make a direct contact when needing answers to
questions about our town and area.
To keep an office open the Chamber must pay rent, wages, phone and supplies.
We must pay dues and belong to the Montana Chamber in order to be listed as
a town with a Chamber office and phone number. From that, the Montana
Chamber keeps direct contact with us concerning Chamber issues.
We are a liaison between City, County, School and State of Montana, giving
each of these entities a contact for projects and information.
Chamber offices are always the first contact made by people interested in
relocating, doing business, or studying our area.
We also spend a lot of time doing tourism promotion and provide information
to said tourists.
