Introduction to the Hebrew Alphabet
Learn the Hebrew Alphabet at Shelby Synagogue
Shelby Synagogue invites the community to a free, family-friendly introduction to the Hebrew alphabet on Thursday, June 18. This drop-in educational event offers participants the opportunity to explore the Alef-Bet, learn how Hebrew letters and sounds work, write their names in Hebrew, and decode simple Hebrew words.
No prior knowledge or language experience is required. The event is designed for anyone interested in languages, history, culture, or lifelong learning. Visitors are welcome to stop by for a few minutes or stay longer, ask questions, and enjoy a hands-on introduction to one of the world's oldest living languages.

Kids/Family Fishing Day
Shelby Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 3rd annual kids/family fishing day, in partnership with Walleyes Unlimited of Great Falls and Region 4 FWP. Location Williamson Park south of Shelby on the Marias River. Open to all ages. No Fishing lic required at this event, must follow all other fwp regulations. Educational stations for the kids to learn from. 50 free fishing poles to kids. Contact the Chamber for more information.

Marias Museum Summer Open House Presents Americas got Talent Show. America 250 Edition! Singers, Dancers, Magicians, Musicians. Fun parade geared for the kiddos on Main Street Shelby! Many kids will come dressed up in the costume of there choosing to walk, ride a bike or scooter. Many pets/animals, some dressed up, will be in the parade as well.
Parade starts at 11:00… with gathering/line up starting at 10:00 at the normal location by the Catholic Church.

Shelby Business District Trick or Treating
List will be provided on Chamber Facebook Page atleast acouple days beforehand with the participating businesses who will be handing out candy at there locations. Gather your kids right after school, go trick or treating for a while at various businesses before hitting the normal local hotspots in town!
Note: This is the day before Halloween in order to have businesses open on Friday while some are not open on Saturday which Halloween falls on in 2026.

Business District Shelby Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt
2nd Annual Business District Easter Egg Selfie Scavenger Hunt
The Chamber is organizing a fun time kid/family friendly event for the community to enjoy within the business district of Shelby. No cost to the business to register. The business will be responsible for providing the desired/decorated fake Easter Egg, and hide the Easter Egg within the business during the selected timeframe.
This activity will be set up very similar to the Elf Selfie Scavenger Hunt during the Christmas Stroll where it encourages the whole community to come into your place of business.
There will be 1 Easter Egg hidden in each registered business the week of Easter. March 30-April 5, 2026 during normal business hours of participating business. This allows the business not having to amend any business hours, they can run their normal business schedule & still participate.
When whomever is searching for the Easter Egg, finds the Easter Egg, take a selfie with it.
Post your selfie pictures under the Easter Egg Post on the Chamber Facebook page (exactly the same was done for the Elf Selfie Scavenger Hunt during the Christmas Stroll). All shelfies must be posted by 8:00 am, Monday, April 6th. Afterwards I'll start sorting through all the selfies to determine who gets what for entries into the raffle drawing.
Each Easter Egg selfie picture earns whomever a chance to win a prize of $50.00 Chamber Bucks. More eggs you find the more chances you have to win.
Only restriction on your decorated egg provided by each business, can NOT be gold. The Chamber will provide 1 Golden Egg into the Scavenger Hunt. This egg will be moved by the Chamber periodically changing its location from business to business. For anyone finding & submitting a selfie of this Golden Egg will earn a Golden Raffle Ticket. If this Golden Raffle Ticket is drawn in the drawing, double the winnings! The Chamber will provide a clue to the Golden Egg whereabouts each time it is moved on the Chamber Facebook page.
Win-Win for all involved. Creates more foot traffic within your business. Give the community an activity throughout the week leading up to Easter & opportunity to see what your business has to offer. The winner of the raffle in the form of Chamber Bucks will be spent locally. The only cost to the business is the actual Easter Egg of your choosing to hide within your place of business.

Easter Bunny Pictures
The Chamber has arranged a special guest this Easter season. The Easter Bunny will be stopping in Shelby on Saturday March 28 to take pictures with the kids. The Easter Bunny will be at the Prairie Peddler from Noon to 2:00 pm. Bring the kids to get their pictures taken by Mountain Moments Photography for a small fee.
Fish Fry
Knights of Columbus and St. William CCW will be serving a fish fry dinner on Friday, March 20 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, at St William Parish Hall in Shelby. We will be serving fish and chips, cole slaw, rolls, and dessert. Donations from the dinner will go toward Coats for Kids this coming fall/winter
